These are beginning belly
dance workshops, although more advanced students are welcome to attend to work
on their form, placement,
technique, etc. Belly Dance is not easy; there are many layers to work on. But anyone can master bellydance
technique if they persevere (and practice!) The belly dance classes are limited to 7 people so you get
lots of individual attention.
Bellydance classes are good for toning and strenthening your muscles,
great for posture, and a good aerobic workout section is included (shimmy
marathon!).
Attire for Bellydance Class: Wear leotard and tights, or form-fitting outfit, and bring a long scarf, sash or sarong to tie around hips. Delilah sells belly dance hip scarves with coins, harem pants, costume earrings, and CDs and cassette tapes of Oriental music to practice with. Cash only for bellydance items.
