Dancer Extraordinaire, Singer, Magician, and
Children's Party Performer.

Delilah began dancing and performing as a child, with many years of ballet.  In high school she studied with members of the Martha Graham Company.  After graduating from George Washington University (BA in Psychology), where she studied many different types of dance with a wide variety of teachers, she settled in Washington, DC.  There she focused on modern dance, and performed with most of the local modern dance companies, including the Joy of Motion Dance Co. and Full Circle with Sharon Wyrrick.  She co-founded Calliope Dance Theatre with Lorrie Smith, as a vehicle for their own choreography.  She began her teaching career at Dance Arts, Moving Arts.

Theater flourished in Washington, DC; modern dance companies did not.  Delilah moved to New York City to find her niche in the dance world.  She discovered jazz dance, studying with jazz legends like Luigi, Ann Reinking, and Velerie Camille (Jack Cole protégé).  She took classes at many different studios, including Steps, Peridance and Broadway Dance Center.  She also studied tap and theater dance.

From there, Delilah branched out into ethnic dance forms, including African, Haitian and Brazilian.  She discovered Flamenco dance, which she concentrated on for several years, studying with masters Maria Alba, Jose Molina, Liliana Morales, Andrea del Conte and many more, at Fazil's Dance Studios and Ballet Hispanico.

Next came Middle Eastern Dance (Bellydance), which Delilah immersed herself in, studying with Serena, Ibrahim Farrah, Jajouka, Yousry and Elena, among others.  She joined the Serena Dance Theatre, performing at many prestigious venues, such as Cami Hall, Lincoln Center Damrosch Park, NY Dept of Cultural Affairs, NY Democratic National Convention Welcoming Party, and Club Ibis.  She joined the faculty at Serena Studios.  She performed and toured with other Middle Eastern Dance Companies, including Kizmet Dance Ensemble and Ramzi Dance Co.  She has appeared at numerous clubs, theaters and restaurants in the tri-state area.  She performs frequently for private parties, corporate events, festivals, etc.  Her picture appeared recently with Barbara Eden in The National Enquirer, after a gala performance at the Waldorf Astoria.

Hula dance is Delilah's most recent dance form.  She studied with several Hawaiian dance teachers, learning Hawaiian hulas, Maori folk dances, poi balls, and more.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with all of her dance training, Delilah was busy taking voice lessons and acting classes, becoming a "triple threat."  She appeared as Connie in Chorus Line, at Queens Theater in the Park, and other local productions.

Delilah has put all of her skills together in her one-woman Variety Shows, where she sings and dances.  Shows include Delilah's Trip Around the World, Arabian Nights, Hooray Hispanica, and Tropical Splendor.  She performs these shows at social clubs, nursing homes, hospitals, and senior citizen centers.

Delilah utilizes her singing, acting and dance skills with Delilah's Delightful Song & Dance Grams, singing telegrams and dance grams.  She has closets full of costumes, and excellent prices.

Delilah's latest passion is magic.  She is working with magician Neil Alexander on a Vegas style Illusion and Dance Show.  She currently performs at children's parties as Daisy Doodle (daisydoodle.net).  She is now putting together an adult magic show which will combine magic and dance.

Delilah has appeared on national TV, including the Richard Bey Show on Channel 9, Up All Night with Gilbert Gottfried on USA Cable Network, and The American Dance Machine TV Special on A&E Cable Network.  Local TV bookings include Good Day New York on FOX -TV, This Morning on Channel 2, and an ABC News Special on Channel 7. See Resume for detailed performance history.

Delilah's teaching credits in New York include Serena Studios, the New York Sports Club, and Club Makor Cultural Center.  She also teaches workshops, corporate classes, and private classes.
